This is actually from a while ago, but now seemed a suitably ironic time to post it. Enjoy, and, as always, feedback is love.

This obviously isn't finished, but I'm not sure where to go from here. It's very hard to write desperate and illogical emotions when you're feeling calm and rational. Just doesn't work. Grrr. Lemme know what you think of this so far, though, please.

This is not very good at all. I say this, not in my usual whiny way, but rather meaning that I haven't revised it yet, although I will soon. But I wanted to post it up here anyways. Your thoughts/ comments are appreciated. It's kind of weird and might be hard to follow, though. I dunno.

This is an attempt to define a character. Unfortunately, a lot of her is based in what I wish I wasn't, and what I wish I were. I need to find out where she diverges from this and my other characters, so I can know who she really is...
Her name is Morganna. She is the daughter of Ygranna and ... I forgot the dad's name. Whatever. It doesn't matter. He's a merchant and she's a scribe. They're well off, and live in the capital of one of the Five Elven Nations. I just now realized there are five...
Elves are very elitist. They're tall and beautiful and graceful and slender. And they live for goddamn near 10,000 years on average. They're mean. Morganna is a product of this. She is basically a walking ball of insecurities. She is cynical but shy, and retreating to being a bitch is her first line of defense.
However, unlike Candy and Vtaria, Morganna is still very emotional. Not nearly to the extent of Magda, though. But, even if her moods do require an actual logical trigger, they can be consuming, leaving her huddled in a sobbing ball, or regretting that she slapped him, four times, two days later.
She is convinced in her heart of hearts that she is fat. Or if not fat, then chubby. Or any other silly word you can come up with. And short. For Elven standards at least. And she does not like humans. At all.
I'm not sure why she's friends with Caydin. He's not the most understanding or comforting person in the world. I need to think on him some more later. But, I guess... they both wore these masks when they met. "Hi, I'm a cheerful elven girl with an overactive imaginiation." "Hi, I'm a ridiculously friendly dragon who can talk to the wind." And by the time the masks were down, they relied on each other too much to leave. Or she relied on him, and he didn't care.
Her power is illusion. The ability to make things seem like what they aren't. Which, once she gets enough discipline to control it, can be very powerful. It fools all of the senses, not just sight. Even touch. Because, basically, she's manipulating your nervous center.
She likes... autumn. And fire and wind and red and blue and books and the Magetower where they study. She is very opinionated, but sometimes her opinion is really that she just doesn't have a clue. I think she likes things like strawberries and mead, but I'm not sure.
More later, once I'm.. awake? Coherent? Something....
Also- I thought this was beautiful and wanted to write it down before I forgot. It's from Moulin Rouge, Your Song.
So excuse me for forgetting
But these things I do
You see I've forgotten
If they're green or they're blue
Anyway the thing is well I really mean
Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen

Tuernn. Who is she?
Well... Her name is based off Tuesday, because I was looking around for something to base a name off, and saw the days of the week sign on the board in Health, because most of the kids are too stupid to know what they are without a sign....
Her lover is Luth, the rather harsh human god. He's the judgemental, right vs. wrong, damnation, but miraclulous healing sort of guy. Light, like desert sun. Necessary, but not always nice.
Wow. That got me really far with Tuern...
Gotta go. More later. Promise. ..... *SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*

So it's like this- all the gods have had a fling with at least one other god during the time before they create the world. Not sure where, when, how, ect, but still.
But most of them have semi-permanent lovers, and that list looks something like this:
Xerra&Cero (yes, they are both girls.)
Siarn&Mika
Masar&Vassri (Still need to figure her out more. Thinking she has something to do with birth?)
Luth&Tuernn (I suppose that would make her night. Hmm...)
Ranth used to be Xerra's lover, but she left him for Cero, who he now basically hates, so he denied dwarves high magic.
Liadan has had flings, but is too childish to have a real relationship. Too flighty.

This journal is an experiment. Hopefully I'll have the time to update it more than once a century. If not, ah well. Life goes on.
So, on with the experiment. This is a place for me to post stuff- short stories, poems, occasionally rants that I feel are deserving of literary note, essays for school, chapters to unfinished and/or disjointed novels. Like I said- stuff. If you read something, and like it, or not, please please please feel free to comment. Unless it's creepy stuff like "im gonna rape u n a dark ally" But other than that, feedback is much appreciated.
